Don Braden joins longtime colleague, vocalist Vanessa Rubin in this recent CD, Full Circle, which is inspired by classic sax and vocal collaborations such as Houston Person and Etta Jones. Featuring Don’s current working “Organix” Ensemble, Kyle Koehler on Hammond organ, Dave Stryker on guitar, and Cecil Brooks III on drums, plus Kahlil Kwame Bell on percussion, the band explores a swinging group of tunes including original music and classic standards. Don plays tenor sax, flute, and alto flute.
